what the fuck, i swear to god i finished the last sentence of this paragraph. like, i know i did, i have distinct memories of it happening! but it's not there now (i noticed AFTER i printed it out, i was so damn sure), and i went all the way back to opening the document and it was never there.... uhgn.

so miki and i went into the city today and hung out and walked around and went to 2 record stores, only to discover that MERRIWEATHER POST PAVILION IS ALREADY ON SALE. SO I GOT IT, AND IT IS AMAAAAAAZING.
ok, i already knew it rocked really fucking hard from the listening party, but being able to blast myself out with it and just be absorbed in it..... ;kjsdf;ljasdf;lja sd;fjk;kdjf;kldsjflksdjfksdjflk;sdjf; it's mind blowingly good. like almost made me cry good.
i want to play it sooooo loudly. we are talking break my speakers loud here. uhgn, A++++++++
the album is so vibrant and squishy and bursting and so fucking vivid, i can't get over it. they honed in their live songs and made them better for the album. that never happens, i can't get over it.
i also finally got the xtal castles album, the live Why? cd, the thom yorke remix cd from japan (shiny gold! not $25!), and the keep the car running vinyl single, but they will have to wait until the merriweather post pavilion novelty wears off. which could be a while.
speaking of novelties, i don't think the optical illusion really works well on the album itself. maybe because of the sticker that's actually on mine or because of the paper's sheen...
and i got my legend of zelda shirt on clearance AND i drew multiple times today. today was a good day. it was snowing and very pretty and fun in the city.

AJSDF;KLJAS;DLKFJ;ASDJF;LKJSADFLKUHGN. i hate editing stuff. it's not that i hate being criticized, since i would willingly admit that most of the stuff i do sucks and i am constantly surprised at how my english teachers this year and last year seem to like my work more than i do, but i think it's that i hate improving. going back and paying attention and nitpicking is what i do not like. i am not meticulous enough/feel enough interest to do this.
but i have three writing things to edit tonight: french redaction, english essay, and college essay.
on the good news front, i am playing with jazz band this spring! rehearsals start in april. another decision i will come to regret, perhaps...

i'm happy about ichigo... i would have been very distraught if there was something wrong with the hard drive. and my 2GB of ram is going to cost me $25... sweet. max couldn't believe that my appointment/treatment at the genius bar was free xD unfortunately i had a rather bland woman working with me... she didn't say anything about my shapeshifter theme, my custom loading page, or the japanese ): she did, however, smile at my radiohead icons and the guy next to us really liked my classic mac icons and we all reminisced about the oregon and amazon trail games. aaaaaand she cleaned my mouse so now it scrolls UP as well as down again! oh, happy day. but she could not get all the food splotches electra got on my screen off. however, she recommended a freeware program called quicksilver to make a custom character palette since it allows you to save a large clipboard of characters, or even programs apparently. damn, i want to work for apple.
so now i have a mini list of things i want/am going to buy soon:
-ram
-rushmore shirts
-more deerhunter albums/the other stuff from my favourite record store
-candybar
i dunno what's happening with the other instruments i want to get... we'll have to see.
and i am going to kill alex. he gave me a huge bruise sunday night when he punched me! it's been blue, green, yellow, and today it's a reddish brown xD

Dec. 22nd, 2008 10:58 pmgeez, these reviews make ian mcewan sound like the second coming of christ. am i the only one that thought this book wasn't that great? the first part of the first part was ok, but after that i just did not give a shit about the characters or the super detailed and yet actionless narrative, and i just plowed through it to be done with it. i was not affected nor gripped by this book.
probably why writing this essay is going so badly. how can i remember examples from something i read at the beginning of november? gah.
but our teacher wants to have a movie night so that we can laugh at how bad the movie is.
this is the least christmasy christmas ever. i can't believe i have to go to school more tomorrow. half days suck. but pillow polo was pretty awesome today; we kicked some freshman ass. it was intense, and the top of the bleachers feel like a sauna but it's not super hot on the floor level, which is very strange to experience. the b gym has a thermocline!
